Sometimes it is easier to interpret a poem when you know more about the author. After viewing Pat Mora's website, list five facts that you have learned about Pat.

One fact that I learned about Pat Mora is that she has written eight books for adults and over twenty-five for children. Another fact I learned about Pat Mora is that she liked to write poems when she was at St. Patrick’s Elementary School.The last fact is that she was an English major but didn’t think about being a writer. About twenty-five years ago, she began to spend time working to become a better writer.
