Hello 6th Grade!
I wanted to try something new for our journal. Since so many of you want to share your journal writing with others, I figured we should put it on the blog! Here is your journal assignment:
Pretend you have just been asked to cook lunch for the entire school. Describe what you would make for everyone, how you would get the ingredients needed, who would help you, and how you would get this huge task completed in time for 12:15! (3 Paragraphs).
Then, make sure you write an interesting comment on someone else's journal.

If I cooked lunch for the whole school here's what I would make and why. For breakfast I would make bacon, eggs, and cheese. I would make that because I love bacon. Also because every day we eat cereal and I am tired of it.
ReplyDeleteFor lunch I would make some shrimp, mash potato's, and some fish. I would make this because I had that last night for dinner. I would make that also because I love fried things as in fish, and fried shrimp.
All of this I would make because it all sounds good and delicious. Also it sound's very yummy and every body will like it.
I would suprised that bagels they want me to cook. I will make pizza with a side of for everyone, that includes the teachers. So it wiil have to be big, I mean really big to feed an inter school.
ReplyDeleteI would need a lot of dough and the help from Elisa to do it. We would make the dough into a giant dough wheel. Then cook it all together. So when we take it out we cut it
It would be a lot of cutting. And we have to hurry too. Or it will be to late. And lots of people will be hungry.
If I ever had to cook for the entire school I would make home made cheese steaks. I would make cheese steaks because alot of people like Philly Cheesesteaks.
ReplyDeleteI would get my ingrediants from the world famous cheesesteak maker. I would get him because he knows how to cook good cheesesteaks and he is very talented. I would get my mom to help him because she also cooks good food.
For desert I would make a cake with our school on it. I would get the cake boss to help me make these cakes because when he is making a cake he can make all diffrent types of designs for the cake. That is what I would make for the school if I had to cook for it.
If I had to make lunch for the entire school I would make cheessteaks for them. I'll make them this because all the kids like them. Also because they are the most popular food in the U.S.A. Next, I'll also put sides and stuff to put on it. Finally I'll make them because that would be a great lunch to have.
ReplyDeleteThe people I'll make them with is A.J, Elija, Zandon, And gordon. I'll make the cheessteak with them because they wouldn't play around when we are makeing them. Also because I might need extra help. Next because some of them could pick the side dishes. Finally the rest of them could serve them and others could help me get ready.
The way I'll get it ready in time for lunch is by starting at 11:30 and It would be by 12:15. Also I'll get all the boys I listed to help me and by telling them what we are going to make, then starting to make them. Next by getting all the materials we need to make it, and the treys to put it on. Finally by finising it in time for lunch.
If the school asked me to make lunch for the entire school. This is what I would cook french fries, pizza with all the toppings you want,mac and cheese,for the drink there be soda, choclate milk, and juice, and for dessert do at I can they'll be bro nwnys, ice cream, pie,and cake. But I can't do all of these things by myself so my big sister, cousin, Deana, vinessa,and two other people would help.All the ingredients I need my mom will buy and bring.And by the time every is here for lunch me and my helpers will be ready.

Because if i make something for someone then i can make me something good that i love the best. I will get the ingredients i need from the market and the corner stores. I think i will get Emani and alicia to help me if i only have to have two people to help me with the meals. but if i had to pick more people i will get tahira and keneshia. I will start at 9:30 and it will get done in time.

The dish I would make is the biggest slice of pizza.I would get my grandmother and some of my friends to help me.I would get my grandmother to help because she knows how to cook really good.I would pick my friends because I can rely on them and because their my friends.Thats why I would chose them.
I would make the biggest slice of pizza because everyone likes pizza and because I have to feed a whole school.I would get the ingredients by good to the supermarket and getting at least 10 pounds of each igredents.Thats how I would get all the ingredients.
After that everyone would enjoy the
pizza and we would have soda and chips and candy.Then we go out side and have fun.Thats the dish I would make and the people I would chose to help me.Hope you like it.

I liked everyones dish from the fried shrimp to the cheestacks to the bacon eggs and cheese.I loved everyones idea and wish it would coe true.

ReplyDeleteI would cook fried chicken, backed macarnoi , caled greens, and patato salad. For desert I would make chese cake, strawberry shor cake and ice cream.
The people that would work for me is my mom and grandmom because they both are great cooks. also i would make them buy all the ingredents.

If I were to cook something for the entire GLA school I would make us some bacon tacos with a dash of taco sauce and lettuce, cheese and that's it. Next, I would make some Spanish rice and a little bit of bacon mashed potatoes. Lastly, I would Make homemade apple cider on rock's. Here is the ingredients to make this delicious dish. First, you get the taco shells from the market and be carful not to break them i wouldd get the hard and soft ones. Then, I would cook the turkey bacon and mash how people like it. Next, i would get 600 plates and get a few helpers to help me set everything up. while i was putting the meat and Lettuce in the shells my helpers were working there butts of there names were Kianna, Alcia, Keneshia , Daija, Tahira, Ameerah , Imani , Sadiah and Emani. After I set up everything I started to make my homemade apple cider and by the time i was done all of my helpers was done putting the plates and all the glasses up and the food was already on the lates i just had to pour the cider. Finally i was done and everybody was eating even the teachers they said it was good i had alot left over so everybody wanted more.

I would make the school cheese cake supreme. I would get the ingredients from the market. I would get there by Mr.Wildes car I would find his keys and be out of that school.

I would get the task done by my mom and my friend it would get done less then a hour it would taste so deliciously good and everyone would love it.
I would make shimp,fries,chicken,ham burger.I think that's a lot of food to cook to in one day.Because it's only a little of use tring to cook all that food.

I would ask me my bestie Daija,bestie Emani,bestie Keneshia,bestie Alicia. That's who I would ask to help me. An that's all of my bestie\wifeys.
I just would have 12:15 minutes to cook the food. An my bestie\wifeys is going to have 12:15 minutes too.

ReplyDeleteIf I was told to cook for the whole entire school first I would be shocked. Second I would say,"NO." But then they said I was told to not asked. So then I started cooking.
ReplyDeleteWhat I would make is chicken nuggets and french fries,and strawberry soda. And for dessert I would give them all strawberrycheese cake. It would one of the best meals they have ever tasted. I would fry the chicken nuggets and french fries and why that is frying I will be making the strawberrycheese cake. Thhen take the chicken nuggets and french fries.
What I would get to make this food is go to the supper market and get everything I need for the huge lunch. I would would get 12 gallons of strawberry soda. Then go to the frozen aisle and get the chicken nuggets and french fries. I would have my brother to help me because he can really cook.
I would get this all done by 12:15 by starting early in the morning and then have everything by 12:15.
If had to make lunch for the entire school i will make something simple. Like grill chesse or i will cook like some eggs. I will cook something simple because I realy dont have the time. And if they dont like it they can eat some were else.
ReplyDeleteAnd on the side I will give them ice cream. I will give them somthing eles on the side If they don't like ice cream. Maybe some cookies or banana. Then for somthing to wash the food down I will give them milk like always.
That is the simples thigs I will give them. Maybe I will give them somthing eles but this is what they going to get. And if they don't like it they can ask they parents to make them lunch for now on. That is my Journal for today.
I like samanthas because i bet she does like chhese steaks.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to cook lunch for the entire school .I would make homemade fries.Frist I would cut the potatoes.Then I would put some fries in seasoned water.Then I would put some oil in a pan then wait till it heats and then put the fries in.Then I would make hambugers frist I would buy bugers ,Then lettuces,Then hambugersbuns tomato's,and keatuph,and mustard .Frist I would bake the hambugers .Then put it in the hambuger bun then put lettues and let them pick what they want in there buger.Then I would make a cake I would buy cake mix, iceing ,and acake pan,eggs,butter ,milk, oil .Frist I would pour the cake mix in a bowl. then I would put egg's in a bowl then pour them in the frist bowl.then I would put milk in the bowl and mix it . then I would butter the pan .And pour the mix in the pan then put it in the oven when it is done I will ice the cake. That is what I would make.

For lunch I would make French dip sandwiches here how I would make it first I will tell you what I need
•2 tablespoons butter
•1 shallot, chopped
•1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
•1 jigger dry sherry, optional
•2 cans beef consomme, found on broth and soups aisle or beef broth
•1 1/2 pounds deli sliced roast beef
•Grill seasoning blend for steak, such as Montreal Steak Seasoning Blend, or, coarse salt and pepper
•4 torpedo sandwich rolls, split
I would make this because some times I would watch cooking shows and they say they will make.
If I was asked to cook for the entire school I would cook cheese'n macoroni, chicken nuggets on the side, milk and mangos'. It would be metled cheese all over the macoroni. The chicken nuggets will be crispy and the mango's would be fresh and sweet.
ReplyDeleteI would get the ingredients by; going to the store early in the morming about 7:30, go out and buy the stuff that I need. Then I would come back and make the food.
The person who would help me is, my sister. I would get her out of school, excusing her from why she is leaving. She would be my helper in handing me what I need. She wouldn't cook becuase, she'd just make a mess of things.
I would complete this task by starting very early and making a lot of food for all of the grades. That's what I would make, how I would get the ingredients, who would help me and how I would get it done.
Everyone saw my shrimp alfredo I bought for lunch yesterday. Now everyone wants some for lunch tommorow. So since my dad made it I just had to ask him can I have extra lunch for my friends. He said sure and said ''I'll pack extra alfredo for you and your friend''. I corrected him hesitantly it's not just friend. He asked ''how many friends are there''. I told him about two hundred kids.
ReplyDeleteHe stared at me and I knew that look meant are you crazy. I told him it will be easier than you think. My dad said ''where can we cook all those meals''. I told him it's covered we have the kitchen at my school as long as we need it. '' What about nd time when can we cook two hundred alfredo meals''. That's done too we start in the morning and finish at twelve fiveteen. ''One last request''. He said. ''How are we going to get our ingredients''. Well I was kinda hoping you could go to the market and buy the food. He said my hard earned money from birthdays, Christmas and allowance would come in handy.
Today were on a mission we bought the shrimp, noddles and alfredo sauce. I also tossed in salad and breadsticks as appetizers. There goes my five hundred dollars I earned. Now my dad and I had to cook all of them. I decorated with dim lights and tables with breadsticks and bowls. I knew we wouldn't be done cooking on time. So I sat out salad as well I make a great toss salad. Now the dishes were done and everyone loved the alfredo meal. I couldn't have any until later for putting him through that trouble but I was glad it worked out.

ReplyDeletesomething i would do is call all parents and tell them to pick their children up and take them to the nearest food store and bring back to school so they can eat it here because I don't know how to cook. If the parent can't get their kids I would get a cook book and try my best to cook, something I would cook is fried chicken candy yams with melted marsmallows and mashed patato, string beans,mac and cheese,and cheese steaks. For the drinks sodas and fruit drinks such as,grapefruit,grape,apple,passionfruit,and more.We would have lots of icecreams every kind their is.This what we will have for dinner

If I had to cook lunch for the school here what I would cook and why. What I would cook is Mac and cheese, fried chicken, mash potatoes, French fries, shrimp salad and for snack they would have chips and soda.
ReplyDeleteThe ingredients I would use are cheese, noodles, chicken, potatoes, mash, fries, mayo, water, shrimp and peppers. This food would be so good and tasty. I am going to love it and they are going to love my cooking.
For desert I would have cheese cake or chocolate cake with white icing and a cherry on top. I would also have ice-cream and nuts so I can make a Sunday for them. I would have Ms.Gail and some of my friends help me cook. Everyone would love it!!!!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteIf I won a $1,000 shopping spring. I would use it to buy an IPOD, an XBOX 360, games from Games Stop, and a IPHONE. Also, I would use it to buy presents for christmas. I would also buy some toys and give it to charity. I would also save the rest to buy pizza from Pizza Hut and Pizza Roma. That is what I would do with the $1,000 shopping spring.
