Are School Uniforms Fair or Not Fair?
Our literature unit discusses items that are fair or not fair. A hot issue today among students and school administrators is the school uniform. Are they fair or unfair for students? What are the advantages and disadvantages of having a school uniform? After discussing this with a partner, write a brief synopsis of your discussion on this blog!

In my opinion I think that it is unfair for students to wear school uniforms, because when we wear uniforms we have to wait for the next dress down that will take up to three weeks, then once it comes we have to pay money just for us to wear jeans, after that one day we have go back to those tight uniforms, but there are advantages, we will know if we are students or vistors, and to show if we are in uniform or not.
ReplyDeleteI don't like the uniform because we wear it every single day, it's plain, I don't like the colors that are in the uniform and lastly I hate wearing the blazer because it's to big nd it's green. My advantages to the school uniform is that I likee the skirts that we have to wear, I like the button up shirt because it has a little bow tie that we have to weary and I like bow ties.

Reading class
Disadvantages
• The uniforms cost over 60.00. for example a blazer by itself cost like 60.00
• I want to wear my own clothes because they look better.
• I don’t feel comfortable in this uniform.
Advantages
• I get lots of comments on how nice my uniforms are.
• I feel very professional.
• I don’t have to pick out what I am going to wear for the next day because I already know that I have to wear my school uniform.
Those are the advantages and disadvantages.
Me and my partener both argeed that haveing school uniforms is not fair I think it is not fair because people say that oh no one will make fun of you because you are not wearing the style that is in now but uniforms cost alot and with all that money you could buy like 8 of the thing that is in style.It is also not fair because they say that uniforms help you do better in work but it is just an outfit in my veiw it dose not help you.I think the only way it is good is that you do not have to look for your outfit.
ReplyDeleteI said that I dont like the uniform because of the following reasons. First the clothes are uncomfortable, they are plain, dont like wearing the same thing every day. Those are my disadvantages.

In my opinion I think wearing uniform is unfair and I think it should change. I feel that way because I don't like wearing uniform because it is uncomfortable and I can't really move in uniforms.
ReplyDeleteThe advantages are you know what you have to were in the morning and you don't have to get up at 5:00 in the morning to pick out what you are wearing.All you would have to do is get up put on the uniform because it was laid out the night before.
The disadvantages are you have to wear what somebody asks you to wear you don't just wear what you want. But I would take my clothes out takeout at night and I would know what am wearing the night before.
I think that thats unfair for students to wear uniform to school.One my advantage is when I see my uniform I think of school and I think of learning.One of my disadvantage is I think they are unfair beacuse I don't feel committable wearing uniform.

Pros and Cons about Uniforms
My partner and I both agreed that wearing uniforms is unfair because we have to wear something that we don’t want to wear. Also I think it is very unfair because uniforms are really ugly and I don’t like to see other people wearing the same thing that I’m wearing. I am going to write about the pros and cons about wearing uniforms.
The pros for wearing uniforms is that when we dress like this we are prepared so in the future we can be more professional of what we wear. (Even though I would never dress like this for a meeting for a day in my life). Another pro is that we get to style up our own uniforms.
The cons for uniforms are that one we have to come to school and see people wearing the same thing that we have. Also I don’t like being forced to wear things that I don’t like. Another con is wearing blazers. I don’t really like wearing blazers.

Uniform discussion
I think that it’s not fair because we should have the freedom to dress how we want. I think it’s not fair because we have the freedom to do other things then why don’t we have the freedom to dress how we want. Some disadvantages it has do not have to look through your closet everyday to find an outfit. Another disadvantage it has is look nice and sophisticated at school. The advantages are having your own type of style when dressing for school. One last advantage is just being comfortable in what you decide to where. We discussed that we both thought having to were uniforms is unfair.Thats what I think about this uniform situation.
I liked everyones even though some people disagreed with other people it was a good way of saying it from your point of view.
ReplyDeleteMy perspective about school uniforms is that uniforms are unfair to students. The advantage is you don't have to pick and choose what you wear in the morning. The disadvantage is you can't wear what you want. after discussing with my partner i figured we were mainly only talking about how uniforms are totally unfair.

My partner and i thought that the students want to wear what they want to wear and that uniforms are not that nice to wear but uniforms also can be good for them because they keep us in order.that is what i think about the uniforms.

ReplyDeleteI think that the school Uniform is both fair and unfair. I think that it fair because if you go on a trip and don’t have Uniform on then you can get lost and nobody will be able to find you if you had on uniform they could describe what you had on and it would be easier to find you. If you did not have on uniform the teacher could have forgot what you had on and you just would have been out of like. For example, when we went o a trip everyone who went to the trip had to wear their gym uniform and nobody got lost we all stuck together.
It is Unfair because you can not wear what you want and sometimes you just want to let loose and be yourself. You don’t want to be all dressy. I like Uniform but you have to do what you have to do if you got to wear Uniform then you have to and we don’t have to dress down everyday all we have to do is just have more dress down day like we can have it every other Friday or every one moth I think. But I don’t like that idea because I will have all these clothes to wash more than I usually was. I Really hate washing clothes to so I would like to go back and saying that it is fair. I rather wear the school Uniform and sometimes I feel more comfortable in school Uniform,
