I picked the lincoln memorial as my favorite monument in washington dc. It was designed by Daniel Chester French. It comemorated for Abraham Lincoln. I like it because it show how much we respect and thank Abraham Lincoln.
The moument that that I picked was called the Mount Rushmore. The person that bulit Mount Rushmore is Gutzon Borglum. This moument was built in 1927 and they finished in 1941. It comemorates Teddy Roosevelt, George Washington,Abe Licoln and Theodore Roosevelt. This is my favorite moument because it shows all the presidents that helped our country in there own way. Also I like this statue because it looks very powerful. I don't like this moument because I think that white men taking away the Native Americans land wasn't right because that was a place where they went to pray and talk to there God. That is the details on Munt Rushmore.

Families of fallen servicemen need to have closure.So they can move past their grief and loss. With the lethality of modern weapons, identifying the bodies of our warriors was more difficult in the past, and many times the military could not provide families with positive identification. Their pain continued as they wondered about their loved one.
